What makes 55-7 Custom Works different?
Every piece begins with a story. Whether you’re preserving a handwritten family recipe, honoring a firefighter’s career, celebrating your Ohio hometown, or creating a one-of-a-kind gift, every order is designed, engraved, assembled, and finished by hand in Medina, Ohio.
I don’t mass-produce my products. Each piece is crafted with care to preserve the memories, milestones, and stories that matter most.
How long does it take to make my order?
Every item is handcrafted and made to order. Please allow 5–7 business days for production before your order ships or is ready for local pickup.
Custom orders requiring artwork approval, design revisions, or specialty materials may require additional time. If you need an item by a particular date, please contact me before ordering.
Do you offer custom and personalized items?
Absolutely! Many of my products can be personalized with names, ranks, departments, badge numbers, coordinates, dates, handwritten messages, and custom text.
If you have an idea for something unique, I’d love to help bring it to life.
Can I submit my own logo, photo, handwriting, or artwork?
Yes! I can often engrave:

Will I receive a proof before production?
For many custom and personalized orders, I’ll provide a digital proof for your approval before production begins.
Please note that requesting multiple revisions may extend production time slightly.
Can you create something that isn’t listed on your website?
Absolutely.
Many of my favorite projects began as ideas from my customers. If you have a custom project in mind, contact me and I’ll gladly discuss your vision and let you know what’s possible.
What types of photos work best for engraved portraits?
High-quality photos with good lighting and clear detail produce the best engravings.
If you’re unsure whether your photo will work, simply send it to me before placing your order. I’ll happily review it and let you know if any improvements are recommended.
Are your products handmade?
Yes.
Every piece is individually designed, laser engraved, assembled, sanded, and finished by hand in my Medina, Ohio workshop.
Because I use real wood and quality materials, every piece has its own natural character, making each one truly unique.
Why might my item look slightly different than the photos?
Wood is a natural material, and no two boards are exactly alike.
Variations in grain pattern, color, engraving tone, knots, and texture are completely normal and are part of what makes every handcrafted piece one of a kind.
What materials do you use?
I carefully select quality materials for every project, including premium birch plywood, hardwoods, acrylic, slate, glass, and other specialty materials depending on the product.
Each material is chosen to provide lasting beauty and durability.
Do you make products for Fire, EMS, Police, and other first responders?
Absolutely.
Supporting first responders is one of my specialties.

Do you offer local pickup?
Yes. Local pickup is available for eligible orders in Medina, Ohio. Eligible items receive an automatic $5–$10 discount per item when Local Pickup is selected during checkout.
I will contact you when your order is complete and provide the pickup location and instructions. Please wait until you receive confirmation before arriving.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes!
I proudly offer FREE shipping on all orders within the continental United States.
Any exceptions will be clearly noted on the product page before purchase.
Can I cancel my order?
Orders may be canceled within 24 hours of purchase provided production has not yet begun.
Because personalized and custom-made items are created specifically for you, they cannot be canceled once production has started.
Do you accept returns?
Unused, non-personalized items may be returned within 14 days of delivery. Please contact me before sending an item back so I can provide return instructions.
Personalized and custom-made products cannot be returned unless they arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect. Please review all names, dates, numbers, and other personalization carefully before placing your order.

What if my item arrives damaged?
While I package every order carefully, shipping damage can occasionally occur.
If your order arrives damaged, please contact me within 7 days of delivery and include photographs of:
- The damaged item
- The shipping box
- Any packaging materials
I’ll work quickly to make it right.
